The hearing took place in Birmingham on 14 April 2023 before Employment Judge Kenward, sitting with Ms S Campbell and Mr C Ledbury. Mr Rawlings appeared in person and there was no appearance for the Respondent.
On remedy, the tribunal ordered compensation for unfair dismissal in the total sum of £9,392. It recorded a basic award of £4,842 and a compensatory award of £4,550. The compensatory award was made up of a prescribed element of £3,900 net for loss of earnings for the notice period between 23 February 2021 and 5 April 2021 inclusive, and a further prescribed element of £650 net for loss of earnings for the period between 6 April 2021 and 12 April 2021 inclusive.
