Key findings
Tribunal's reasoningOn 18 November 2022 the respondent applied to strike out the claim under rule 37 because the claimant had not complied with the case management order of 7 June 2022. The respondent said the claimant had failed to exchange a witness statement by the deadline of 14 October 2022 and that the only contact received from him was a letter dated 26 July 2022 enclosing photographs of pizza boxes.
On 21 November 2022 the tribunal emailed the claimant seeking a substantive response to the strike-out application as soon as possible and explained that Regional Employment Judge Pirani was considering striking out the claim under rule 37(1)(d) because it was not being actively pursued. The claimant did not make written representations explaining why strike out should not happen and did not request a hearing.
The tribunal therefore struck out the claim. The hearing listed for 23 and 24 November 2022 was vacated and did not go ahead. No monetary remedy was awarded in the judgment.

How we got this data
Case essentials (reference, date, judge, venue, country, claim categories) are extracted from the structured metadata gov.uk publishes alongside each decision. Parties and monetary figures are extracted from the judgment PDF text. Key findings and per-claim outcomes require a second extraction pass that is not yet complete for this case — until then, the primary source linked above is the authoritative record.
