Key findings
Tribunal's reasoningThe claimant worked for the respondent as a credit controller from 1 November 2016 until 10 January 2020. She had previously been funded by the respondent to take a level 3 AAT course in 2018, and the tribunal accepted that the respondent paid that course without recovering the cost from her. For the later level 4 course, the tribunal accepted that the claimant was authorised to attend it, but did not accept that there was express agreement that the fees would be met by the respondent. The tribunal also found that the documentation for the level 4 course did not show the same dual authorisation as the earlier course.

How we got this data
Case essentials (reference, date, judge, venue, country, claim categories) are extracted from the structured metadata gov.uk publishes alongside each decision. Parties and monetary figures are extracted from the judgment PDF text. Key findings and per-claim outcomes require a second extraction pass that is not yet complete for this case — until then, the primary source linked above is the authoritative record.
