Key findings
Tribunal's reasoningAt Southampton on 2 to 5 August 2021, Employment Judge Rayner with Mrs C Date and Mr P Bompass held that Mr A Brown succeeded in two disability discrimination claims against Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary CIO. The tribunal found that he was discriminated against for a reason arising from his disability contrary to section 15 Equality Act 2010 in that he was dismissed, and that the Respondent failed to make reasonable adjustments contrary to sections 20 and 21 Equality Act 2010.
The tribunal dismissed Mr Brown's claim of direct disability discrimination under section 13 Equality Act 2010 and his victimisation claim under section 27 Equality Act 2010.
The tribunal ordered the Respondent to pay £31,890.43. The judgment itemised £15,000 for injury to feelings, £2,600 interest on that award, £12,398 loss of earnings to the end of June 2021, £602.16 pension loss calculated at £5.79 per week for 104 weeks, £1,040 interest on loss of earnings, and £250 for loss of statutory rights.

How we got this data
Case essentials (reference, date, judge, venue, country, claim categories) are extracted from the structured metadata gov.uk publishes alongside each decision. Parties and monetary figures are extracted from the judgment PDF text. Key findings and per-claim outcomes require a second extraction pass that is not yet complete for this case — until then, the primary source linked above is the authoritative record.
