Key findings
Tribunal's reasoningThe tribunal held that it was not reasonably practicable for the claimant to issue the claim within three months of termination of employment, and that he issued it within a reasonable time thereafter. On that basis, the claim was permitted to proceed.
The tribunal found the claimant's complaint under section 189 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992 well founded because the first respondent failed to comply with section 188 of that Act. It therefore made a protective award under section 189(3) equivalent to remuneration for the period of 90 days beginning on 17 March 2020. The Employment Protection (Recoupment of Jobseeker's Allowance and Income Support) Regulations 1996 were stated to apply to the award.

How we got this data
Case essentials (reference, date, judge, venue, country, claim categories) are extracted from the structured metadata gov.uk publishes alongside each decision. Parties and monetary figures are extracted from the judgment PDF text. Key findings and per-claim outcomes require a second extraction pass that is not yet complete for this case — until then, the primary source linked above is the authoritative record.
