Employment Judge D N Jones determined the case on 11 August 2020 under rule 21. The claimant, Miss A Grills, was found to have been dismissed by reason of redundancy and the tribunal held that she was entitled to a redundancy payment from Resindrives.co.uk Ltd (in voluntary liquidation). The payment was calculated by reference to a weekly pay of £413.50 and 5 years of continuous employment, with 4 years counted at 1.5 and one year at 1, producing a redundancy payment of £2,894.50.

The tribunal also found that the respondent breached the contract of employment by failing to provide notice of termination. Damages for that breach were assessed at £2,067.50, based on £413.50 gross pay for 5 weeks. The judgment records no other claims or remedies.
