The only claim was for unauthorised deduction from wages under section 13 of the Employment Rights Act 1996. The tribunal found that the respondent had made a deduction from the claimant's wages for those periods, that there was no provision or agreement authorising any such deduction, and that the wages were properly payable. Judgment was therefore entered for the claimant in the sum of £1,170 by way of compensation.
