Kent Appliance World had entered creditors voluntary liquidation, and the liquidator confirmed that £659.38 had been paid to the claimant as arrears of wages through the redundancy payments service, which represented the second respondent for these purposes.
The tribunal wrote to the claimant on 6 July 2022 asking whether he accepted that he had been paid and, if so, whether he withdrew the claim. No response was received. The tribunal recorded that it appeared the claimant had ceased actively pursuing the matter, apparently on the basis that he had received the RPS payment.
In the absence of any indication from the claimant that further sums were due and that he wished to continue, the tribunal struck out the complaint of unlawful deductions from wages. The hearing listed for 27 September 2022 was vacated.
