Key findings
Tribunal's reasoningThe claimant presented claims on 4 August 2020 for unfair dismissal, failure to make a statutory redundancy payment, unlawful deduction of wages, and accrued unpaid holiday pay. On 12 August 2020 the Tribunal issued a strike out warning because, on the pleaded dates, the claimant had been employed from 1 July 2019 to 16 July 2020, which was less than two years' continuous employment. In an email of 19 August 2020 the claimant asked for the claims not to be struck out, saying the respondent had acted badly, illegally and paid wages late, but the Tribunal said those reasons had no merit for jurisdictional purposes.
The Tribunal held that it did not have jurisdiction to consider the unfair dismissal and statutory redundancy payment claims, and those claims were struck out. It also said that some matters within the claimant's wider unlawful deduction allegations, including borrowed money, missed universal credit payments and fines for tax being declared late, were outside its jurisdiction. Those remaining unlawful deduction claims were to be listed for a final hearing and were not determined by this judgment.
The only substantive money award in this judgment was for accrued unpaid holiday entitlement. The respondent admitted liability for 5 days' holiday calculated at £220, and judgment was entered for the claimant in that sum. The judgment did not record any separate basic award, compensatory award, or interest calculation in relation to this decision.

How we got this data
Case essentials (reference, date, judge, venue, country, claim categories) are extracted from the structured metadata gov.uk publishes alongside each decision. Parties and monetary figures are extracted from the judgment PDF text. Key findings and per-claim outcomes require a second extraction pass that is not yet complete for this case — until then, the primary source linked above is the authoritative record.
