Key findings
Tribunal's reasoningThe Tribunal was satisfied that the Respondent had been given notice of the 4 December 2024 hearing and, in the interests of justice, proceeded in its absence. It found that Mr P Porter had been employed by Noordzee Holding Ltd from 18 December 2023 to 19 January 2024, and that Noordzee Holding Ltd was the correct respondent.
The Tribunal declared that the Respondent had made unauthorised deductions from Mr Porter's wages in respect of the period 18 December 2023 to 19 January 2024 and ordered payment of £1,608 gross. It also found that Mr Porter had been dismissed in breach of contract in respect of notice and awarded damages of £368.
Pursuant to section 38 of the Employment Act 2002, the Tribunal increased the award by the higher amount of four weeks' pay, assessed at £1,610. The total amount payable was therefore £3,586.

How we got this data
Case essentials (reference, date, judge, venue, country, claim categories) are extracted from the structured metadata gov.uk publishes alongside each decision. Parties and monetary figures are extracted from the judgment PDF text. Key findings and per-claim outcomes require a second extraction pass that is not yet complete for this case — until then, the primary source linked above is the authoritative record.
