Key findings
Tribunal's reasoningThe claimant brought a claim for unauthorised deduction from wages arising from work said to have been done on the respondent’s farm between February/March 2018 and January 2019. The tribunal found that the claimant moved into a property on the respondent’s farm in around January 2018 and initially paid rent of £150 per week, but stopped paying rent by the end of March 2018 at the latest. It found that the claimant left his chef job around 12 March 2018 and that the respondent paid him a single cash payment of £350 around 22 March 2018, which was treated as payment for about 10 days’ work and was not said to have been deducted from.

How we got this data
Case essentials (reference, date, judge, venue, country, claim categories) are extracted from the structured metadata gov.uk publishes alongside each decision. Parties and monetary figures are extracted from the judgment PDF text. Key findings and per-claim outcomes require a second extraction pass that is not yet complete for this case — until then, the primary source linked above is the authoritative record.
