Key findings
Tribunal's reasoningThe claimants sought protective awards after FCV Limited went into liquidation. Evidence from Ms Katarzyna Urbaniak, the office manager, was that she was told there had been an urgent meeting on 16 March 2023, when liquidators indicated the business would immediately cease trading and the employees were to be made redundant. She said there was no recognised trade union or other representative body with authority to consult the employer on behalf of the employees, and that there had been no discussions with employees about the proposed redundancies.
