A Jones Miss Aleksandra Dembiec & Others (As per attached Schedule 8414) v Represented by:- Mr Balwierz Solo Famiglia Limited — 2018

The tribunal heard conjoined claims by Ms Dembiec, Mr Wickham, Mr Balwierz, Ms Karkoszka and Ms Slomczynska arising from the termination of their employment by Solo Famiglia Ltd after the respondent ceased trading on 6 March 2018. The respondent, represented by its director, did not advance any defence to the claims and accepted that it did not have funds available to pay the sums due. Ms Slomczynska had one year's service and was not entitled to a redundancy payment, but the tribunal awarded her £1,324.61 outstanding wages and £246.75 notice pay. The judgment records that the claims were well founded and orders payment of the individual sums. In aggregate, the awards totalled £2,764.72 in redundancy payments, £7,251.31 in outstanding wages and £3,011.47 in notice pay, making a total award of £13,027.50.
