Key findings
Tribunal's reasoningThe case was heard by cloud video on 1 to 4 March 2021 before Employment Judge Reed, Mrs S Dengate and Mr K Murphy. The tribunal's unanimous judgment rejected the claimant's working time, direct disability discrimination, discrimination arising from disability, harassment, victimisation and unfair dismissal claims. It found that the respondent did not breach the working time regulations, did not directly discriminate, did not treat the claimant unfavourably because of something arising from disability, and did not harass or victimise him.
The one successful complaint was the refusal to allow the claimant's wife to accompany him to a grievance hearing on 7 June 2019. The tribunal held that this was a failure to make a reasonable adjustment to avoid the disadvantage caused by the respondent's internal procedures. It found that no other reasonable adjustment claim succeeded.
The tribunal awarded £2,500 for injury to feelings in relation to that reasonable adjustment claim, together with £348.49 interest. It made no order as to costs.

How we got this data
Case essentials (reference, date, judge, venue, country, claim categories) are extracted from the structured metadata gov.uk publishes alongside each decision. Parties and monetary figures are extracted from the judgment PDF text. Key findings and per-claim outcomes require a second extraction pass that is not yet complete for this case — until then, the primary source linked above is the authoritative record.
