Key findings
Tribunal's reasoningThis was a strike out judgment in the case of Miss O Esho v DWP. By letter dated 19 October 2022, the Tribunal gave the claimant an opportunity to make written representations or request a hearing on why the claim should not be struck out for non-compliance with the Tribunal's order of 18 August 2022 and because the claim had not been actively pursued.
The claimant did not make written representations, did not make sufficient representations, and did not request a hearing. The claimant's representative wrote to the respondent on 25 October 2022 stating that she had not heard from the claimant for months. The respondent wrote to the Tribunal on 2 November 2022, copied to the claimant, setting out the non-compliance and asking for strike out. The claimant did not respond.
The Employment Judge found that the claimant had not engaged with the Tribunal process at all since presenting the claim and that it was clear the claim was not being actively pursued. The claim was therefore struck out. The hearing fixed for 22 November 2022 was vacated and did not take place.

How we got this data
Case essentials (reference, date, judge, venue, country, claim categories) are extracted from the structured metadata gov.uk publishes alongside each decision. Parties and monetary figures are extracted from the judgment PDF text. Key findings and per-claim outcomes require a second extraction pass that is not yet complete for this case — until then, the primary source linked above is the authoritative record.
