This was a preliminary hearing before Regional Employment Judge Taylor on 20 February 2020 to decide whether Mr E Nii Larbi was a disabled person for the purposes of the Equality Act 2010. The claimant said that after an assault at work on 12 September 2018, and later a second assault in May 2019, he had a post-trauma physical impairment causing chest pain, pain when walking, knee and foot pain, and itching. The tribunal accepted that he had chest pain after each assault and that the pain was substantial at the time, in the sense of more than minor or trivial.
